Disposable packaging is horrible. Product packaging generates more plastic waste than any other industry.

Less than five percent of plastics in the U.S. is recycled. The rest is landfilled, burnt or exported.

Up to six times more plastic was burned in the U.S. in 2018 than was recycled. Burning plastic produces CO2 and can release toxins.

Globally, more than a million plastic bottles are sold every single minute. Less than 7% globally are recyled.

In the UK - Westminster council sent 82% of all household waste – including that put in recycling bins – for incineration in 2017/18

The West sends its waste to the East, the waste is often burned or abandoned, eventually finding its way into rivers and oceans.

The process of recycling is expensive, complicated and the resulting product is of lower quality than what you put in. Meaning you need New plastic to use recycled plastic.  A broken system.
